rvvind…

Had’nt really embarked upon this activity for the 20 odd years I spent in India - have been thinking lately “Why the hell didn’t I do this all while?” . Well for whatever reason(s) I didn’t do it, I’m more than happy I get to camp every now and then. The state and national parks in the mid-west region of the U.S, each have their own distinctiveness…their own sights, smells and scenery. It makes me wonder every now and then as to how diverse Indian forests and national reserves would be - wow - would like to line this up in the future projects section of my life I guess.

Ozark, AR

Had been to Ozarks last summer (’07) - my second camping trip. Interning at Cerner was sprinkled with awesome times like these. It was an amazing opportunity photographically too, specially as I was starting out then. The stuff I learned in those half-week outdoor sessions. especially having fun with DoF were absolutely invaluable. For some reason bokehs were a fascination at that time.

Marseilles, IL

Marseilles was an amazing experience too. The sunrises were one of the most beautiful sights I’ve seen ever. The fog settled over the Illini river was the another close shave with heaven. It was surprising because I was sloshed the previous night (oh…the days of fascination towards such frivolity :P). My fascination turned to scapes although macros were still stuck with me. Semi-wide angle shots of expanses filled my collection at that time.
